Manchester United Closing In On Ajax Wonderkid

Manchester United are a step closer to signing Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan.

According to Mirror, Manchester United are closing in on the 15-year-old Daishawn Redan, who has reportedly arrived at Manchester United’s training ground, Carrington, ahead of a proposed move.

Redan is a prolific striker who plays for Ajax’s youth team, and also represents Holland on the Under-17 level. He joined Ajax at the age of 8 years, scored 44 goals in 2009, and was later included in the Under-14 team during 2013/14 season.

Ajax offered a new deal to their young starlet to keep hold of him as long as possible. But latest reports suggest Redan is already planning to join Manchester United‘s youth academy.

In 2004, Ajax youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah joined the Red Devils’ youth academy. This Dutch international has now played around 17 senior games for the United. Furthermore, in early 2016, another wonderkid, Tahith Chong, joined the Old Trafford club from Feyenoord.

Daishawn Redan is now expected to follow their footsteps and join the English giants.

Last season, Louis van Gaal appointed highly rated scout Henry De Regt to revamp the club academy, and he was the one who played a major role in bringing Daishawn to Manchester United.

Redan is a right-footed striker who can also play on the left wing. Manchester United have been scouting him consistently in the recent months, and now, the negotiations to sign this youngster have begun.
