James Rodriguez was one of the stars during FIFA World Cup 2014, Brazil. Because of his brilliant performances in World Cup, Real Madrid bought him for a massive transfer fee of around €80 million. He made an instant impact at Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti, by scoring 17 goals from 47 appearances in all competitions in his debut season.

But in the second season, things didn’t go too well for James, and later, he became a benchwarmer under Zinedine Zidane. However, the 25-year-old believes he still has a lot to offer so as to fulfill his talent.

During last summer itself, there were rumours linking James with Chelsea. But this January, they will be looking to complete the deal and bring him to Stamford Bridge.

According to AS, it is understood that Chelsea have made contact with the player’s agent to know more about the situation. But they will have to face a stiff competition from various European clubs, including Juventus and Manchester United.

Although Real Madrid aren’t looking to sell him till end of the season, they won’t block a move if an offer above £60m is received.
