Florentino Perez: Real Madrid Is The Most Supported Club
Just ahead of the Christmas celebrations, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has once again raised his voice for the largely held belief that Los Blancos are currently the most supported club in the world.
As it is a customary thing during the festive season, the president joined together with the captains and coaches of both the football and basketball teams to wish supporters a Merry Christmas.
It’s been a fabulous year for the La Liga giants, with five titles being won in total, including the Champions League, European Super Cup and the Club World Cup for the football team, and a domestic league and cup double for the basketball team.

Perez, in his speech, wished all Madridistas well, and made it clear that all Real teams would strive to remain the most supported club in 2017.
“Firstly I hope you all have the health to enjoy the festive season with your loved ones and I also want to wish Madridistas an even better 2017,” he said.
“Together we will be able to work to keep this club the most prestigious and supported.”
Zinedine Zidane has so far gone through a rollercoaster 2016, in which he won three key titles in his debut year in elite level coaching, and the legendary football figure too, addressed the supporters.

“I want to wish everyone a happy holiday and have a good time with your families,” he noted.
A Club World Cup title has handed Real Madrid cap of 2016 in a perfect way, with the team also currently holding the advantage in La Liga and into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Pablo Laso, the head coach of the club’s basketball team, admitted that he hoped for similar glories in the coming months.
“We have had a great year in both sports in 2016, and we hope that 2017 will be as good if not a little better, congratulations to you all.”
