Arsenal-Supporting Girlfriend Trolled On Twitter With An RVP Present For Christmas

Manchester United fan with the username ‘@TheJamesEliz’ on twitter trolled his girlfriend, an Arsenal fan, with an interesting Christmas present.

Christmas is an occasion when people spend time with their loved ones and also present them with awesome gifts. The current trends in social media, however, including trolling one’s own mates, have somewhat ruined the gift-giving tradition.

That’s what happened in the case of Twitter user TheJamesEliz’s girlfriend, as she was sent a photo of former Gunner Robin van Persie holding the Premier League title at Old Trafford in the famous Red of Man United.

Van Persie played at Arsenal for 8 years, from 2004 to 2012, and also became their captain during the 2011-12 season. But in 2012, he rejected a new contract offer from London club, and then moved to rivals Manchester United.

The Dutchman later won his first Premier League title with Red Devils under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson. He also won the Golden boot that season, scoring 26 goals for United in the Premier League. He was also named Manchester United’s player of the season, as he played a key role in leading them to their 20th league title.

On the other hand, Arsenal still haven’t won a Premier League title for the last 12 years. In addition, many star players have left the Emirates and later went on to win the Premier League title with rivals, including the likes of Van Persie, Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and many more.

It’s obvious that Arsenal fans wouldn’t like to get a gift like this, especially during Christmas. Don’t be surprised if a certain someone finds himself to be single come new year.
