Thibaut Courtois, like all his fellow Chelsea teammates, is having a remarkable season so far under Italian manager Antonio Conte. The big Belgian keeper is leading the race for the golden glove with 10 clean sheets, and his performances have attracted attention and interest from all around the globe.

However, once Real Madrid step into the frame, the interest usually turns into a deal, and this might be the case for Chelsea’s man between the poles. With their failure to sign De Gea last season, Zidane is now targeting the Premier League’s next best keeper Courtois, according to reports from Marca.

Despite having Keylor Navas perform well for the club, they look for a keeper to fill the boots of the legendary Iker Casillas, and the former Atletico Madrid man Thibaut might just be the player to do so in the eyes of Zidane and those at the Bernabeu.

With Chelsea linked with a £75m move for Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, who was recently seen leaving the UK Embassy in Bogota, it is clear Madrid won’t let their man go without a fair deal in return, and maintaining a good relationship might just help their cause to land the keeper they want.

Chelsea are currently leading contenders for the title, having won 13 games in a row until lately losing to Tottenham.

The deal seems like good affair for both teams involved, and with Courtois eager to return back to Madrid and set his name up in and among stars, it could be a possibility waiting to happen soon enough.
