China has been taking huge steps in world football this season by attracting big name players to their league with unbelievable amounts of cash offers. And with the January transfer window now open, they currently look to add to the latest business deals, and Ashley Young of Manchester United is the latest name in their sights.

Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng are set to bring about a huge offer for Ashley Young, according to SunSport. And with the player being surplus to Mourinho’s requirements and on the verge of a possible exit, this deal seems highly likely to take place soon.

Young signed for United from Aston Villa in 2011 for £17m under Sir Alex Ferguson, and was influential in helping the manager lift his last title with the Red Devils.

However, after extending his contract under Van Gaal last season, Young has only featured 10 times this season under Mourinho, and started only 2 games so far.

The Portuguese manager still considers Young’s experience important in their bid to rise to the top and challenge for the title, but with lack of playing time, the player might get frustrated and leave the club soon if Jose does not show more trust.

The 31-year-old has made 150 appearances for the Red Devils, and scored 14 goals in that time period, but he seems to be heading towards the end of his Old Trafford career, and where he goes next is to be seen.

Clubs like West Brom, Crystal Palace, Burnley, and Watford have also shown interest in the winger.
