Barcelona are the latest club to join an already crowded group of clubs looking to sign up a teenage defender. The boy in question is 17-year old Tony Gallacher.
The young prospect has reportedly been scouted by six Premier League clubs, and Barcelona are the latest to show interest. The English clubs include the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea and both the Manchester sides. Scottish heavyweight Celtic are also said to be keeping a close watch.
Gallacher plays for Scottish Championship side Falkirk. The team had already rejected a reported £100,000 bid in the summer from Stoke City.

They valued Gallacher at £750,000 originally, but with so many elite clubs interested, the figure is sure to rise.
If Gallacher wants to stay in Scotland, the best move for him would be to Celtic. This might be tempting, but it remains to be seen if Celtic are willing to match the asking price, especially for a youngster. Even more alluring would be a bid from Barcelona or one of England’s elite, though it would almost guarantee a long spell on the sidelines.
