Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario is sensationally trying his best to lure superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to the Serie A to join Inter Milan.

Mario moved to Inter in August 2016 from Sporting CP for a fee of £45 million.

The midfielder is a friend of Ronaldo, and the duo together were a part of the Portugal national team to lift the Euro 2016 title. Mario now hopes this friendship can help convince the 4-time Ballon D’Or winner to move to the Serie A.

“Portugal have a lot of quality, but Cristiano Ronaldo is obviously our talisman, our most important player,” Joao Mario told Inter channel. “I am trying to talk him into joining me at Inter! Let’s just say it is difficult!”

Mario also claimed how he always dreamt of winning a title with his national side, and Euro 16 was an exciting way of it happening.

Madrid letting Ronaldo go seems a case of something not happening, but friendship can do wonders, and Inter Milan will be hoping Mario pulls of the impossible for their sake.

The Italian giants are currently in desperate need of revival, and it seems like a task a world class player Like Ronaldo will love taking on and accomplishing.

The La Liga powerhouses or sleeping beasts of Italy – Ronaldo might have to make a choice soon.
