Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United were one of the busiest clubs in the country in the last couple of transfer windows with the manager overseeing a number of purchases and sales in this time.

The Red Devils are within the touching distance of a place in the top-4 and Mourinho is confident that his side will qualify for Europe’s elite tournament next season. This has seen him look to add some star players to help his side next season.

And as per the reports from The Sun, The Red Devils are keen to add AS Monaco’s Bernardo Silva in the summer. Furthermore, it is also reported that he may cost around £70million, as his current deal with the French outfit runs until 2020.

Capable of playing all over the attacking third for his team, the 22-year old Portuguese international moved to AS Monaco back in 2014 and has already made more than 60 appearances for the French outfit.

He also has 10 caps for his national side and though he missed out on a place in the EURO16 win for Portugal in France, he is an established player in the national setup already.

He is easily one of the most exciting talents in world football and Manchester United have been looking at him for a while now and the Red Devils are in pole position to land the star come the end of the season.

The same source has also reported that Jose Mourinho has already opened talks with the player’s representative over a move in the summer and the fact that the player is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes, makes this rumour all the more concrete.

AS Monaco purchased the star for around £13.4m on a 5-year deal which keeps Silva at the club till 2020 and it is also believed that United are considering working on a first refusal option, which would force Monaco to notify them if someone were to bid for Silva to allow them to match the offer.

The Old Trafford outfit are certainly not the one to budge on a price tag and are in the process of finalizing a deal.

Do you think Manchester United should spend big on the 22-year old this summer?
