The FA Cup holders are through to the quarter-finals of the tournament, where they will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were enough for Manchester United to secure a 2-1 win on the night. Blackburn did take an early lead and gave the Red Devils a tough fight throughout the game, but were eventually outscored by the quality possessed by the Premier League giants.

Here’s how Jose Mourinho’s men fared in the cup tie:

SERGIO ROMERO – 6

Was helpless while conceding the opener, but made some crucial saves late in the game to avoid a replay.

ASHLEY YOUNG – 7

Replaced Valencia well at RB. Was a threat on the offense as well.

CHRIS SMALLING – 6

Couldn’t prevent Graham from scoring the opener.

MARCOS ROJO – 5

Was tormented by Emnes, and it was his failure to deal with the pacey forward that led to the first goal.

MATTEO DARMIAN – 4

Was worrisome at the back, and useless going forward.

MICHAEL CARRICK – 6

Failed to dictate play as usual.

ANDER HERRERA – 7

Was a livewire in the middle of the park. Attempted a few decent shots on goal, and passed well.

JESSE LINGARD – 5

Didn’t do much.

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN – 6.5

Provided a sensational pass for Rashford’s equalizer, but misplaced a number of passes too.

ANTHONY MARTIAL – 6

Made a dangerous run or two, but failed to get more involved.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 7

His opportunistic run and calm finish levelled the game.

SUBSTITUTES:

PAUL POGBA – 9

Gamechanger. Dominated the midfield, created chances, and made the assist to Zlatan’s goal with his trademark long pass.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC – 8

Kept his calm and scored expertly. Was very involved in the game following his winner.

JUAN MATA – NA
