With Manchester United involved, no transfer saga is over until it’s last breath has been taken and similar is the case with the story of them being linked Atletico Madrid and French forward Antoine Griezmann.

The player who initially reportedly agreed to a verbal agreement with the English club was later assumed to not prefer England because of the weather is now, in another turn of twisted events, possibly being targeted by Real Madrid this summer.

Usually when Real Madrid want a player, they get it and if that’s the case with Griezmann when the window re-opens in July, then according to sources from the Independent, Jose Mourinho will target the club’s long sought after player Toni Kroos.

The German midfielder was chased by Moyes in his Manchester United days before choosing a move to the La Liga, where has thrived as a Real Madrid sensation alongside Modric and Ronaldo.

However, if stories of Zidane aiming for the star on the rival side of Madrid as a summer target are true, that could possibly result in opening exit doors for Toni Kroos and give The Red Devils another chance to grab the signing of a much wanted midfield wonder, who according to legend Paul Scholes, will be a perfect fit in the park with Pogba and Herrera.

The 27-year-old does however have a contract at the club until 2022 and Real Madrid letting one of their biggest names go will not be odds one would place their bets on.
