Reports: Luke Shaw Concerned Over Jose Mourinho’s Grudge
Manchester United star Luke Shaw is reportedly concerned over his Old Trafford future under Jose Mourinho.
Shaw has gone through a frustrating season at Manchester United since Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal last summer. The 21-year-old defender has been restricted to only 15 appearances in all competitions – and just two in 2017 till now.
He started in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on March 4 but was left out for the Europa League game against Rostov and once again faced the harsh reality against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday night.
The left-back joined his team-mates in London but failed to make even the substitute bench as Jose Mourinho decided to start Matteo Darmian on the left side of the defence.
And The Times claim Shaw is growing impatient and wants a clarification about his situation under the Portuguese manager.
There is a strong notion that the former Southampton defender’s camp believes Mourinho still holds a grudge against him dating back to his time in charge of Chelsea.

Shaw, a boyhood Blues fan, rejected a transfer to Stamford Bridge in favour of a move to Old Trafford in 2014.
The report from Times, citing a source, states negotiations regarding a move to Manchester United were “surprisingly straightforward” and Chelsea were shocked by the snub.
Those close to Shaw say Mourinho is consistently snubbing the defender because of his failure to move to London three years ago. And the latest snub against Chelsea may further force the England international closer to the exit door.
The Manchester United boss has publicly revealed that Shaw is behind his team-mates in the pecking order and have to take inspiration from Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has forced his way into Mourinho’s plans.
However, the defender is also a bit concerned that lack of playing minutes could seriously cut short his chances of making Gareth Southgate’s England team ahead of upcoming fixtures against Germany and Lithuania.
