Manchester City Could Sell Upto 13 Players As Pep Guardiola Eyes Squad Overhaul
Pep Guardiola is planning an audacious overhaul of the squad and is back by the owners to spend big this summer.
Manchester City were knocked out of the Champions League on their travel to the Stade Louis earlier this week against Monaco.
However, they are still alive in the FA Cup where they play Arsenal in the semi-final and are also have a decent chance of finishing in the top-4, currently standing at the third place in the domestic points table.
But Guardiola is evidently unhappy with the squad at his disposal and is planning to sell up to 13 players at the end of the season.
A number of players at the club were expected to be sold even before the start of the season but it is now reported by the Manchester Evening News that Guardiola is ready to let all his fringe players leave this summer.
According to this report, Guardiola will sell full-backs Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta at the end of the season with all three players well past their prime as footballers.
It is understood that Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is ready to back up the transfer plans of the Spaniard and has already given him a war chest of £150m and Guardiola wants to add more to that amount by selling some star names also this summer.

On loan stars Joe Hart, Samir Nasri, Eliaquim Mangala and Wilfried Bony are all not expected to return to the Etihad and should be on their way out of the club come the end of the season.
Neither of them have been overly impressive in their loan spells and might join skipper Vincent Kompany, who has failed to cement a place in the first team, in quitting the Etihad this summer. Kompany was not a part of the squad that lost to Monaco in France recently and it is now understood that Guardiola is ready to sell him to potential suitors.
Fernando, Nolito, Jesus Navas, Fabian Delph and Claudio Bravo is another set of players who could be facing an exit.
The latter 5 have been decent at times but have just not been able to find consistency in their game, leaving them to have to fight for their place next season at the club.
