Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has once again responded to speculations about his reportedly uncertain future with Atletico Madrid and the summer exit rumours.

The 25-year-old has continued to impress in La Liga this season as always, and he also insisted his fate rests in the hands of his club.

Jose Mourinho is thought to have identified the French striker as top priority transfer target and is willing to break the bank to lure him to the Premier League.

But Griezmann has now tried to distance himself from the rumours that are still making headlines, claiming he is happy playing for Diego Simeone’s side for as long as they want him. He doesn’t want to be drawn into any kind of debate.

He told beIN Sports: “As I have said so many times in the past, I have a contract with Atlético, I am happy here and so is my family. And besides, to leave, first the club has to want to sell me, right.”

Griezmann has emerged as a single light of hope in an otherwise disappointing season for Atletico Madrid, as he has already scored 21 goals in all competitions.

He added:”I try to be happy out on the pitch and give my best for the fans. Everything’s going well. Here we have sun all the year round and that is also a big help.”

Atletico sit fourth in La Liga, ten points behind leaders Real Madrid who have a game in hand but have booked their berth in the Champions League quarter-finals where they will be up against Leicester City.
