Real Madrid and Manchester United want to add Premier League winner Kasper Schmeichel to their squad at the end of the season.

The Red Devils are finding it hard to move up the points table in the Premier League but a run of victories can put them within the reach of a place in the Champions League next season.

They also have a chance to play in the competition if they win the Europa League and Mourinho seems determined to improve his squad this summer to help the club compete at the highest level next season.

The manager will want to add some star players at the end of the season but he is also in the danger of losing a couple of players.

And Mourinho is now looking for options to replace Spanish shot-stopper David de Gea this summer. The former Atletico Madrid man is easily one of the best players in his position in Europe and has been United’s best player for more than a couple of seasons now.

He was linked with a move to Real Madrid a couple of years ago, before he signed a new contract, and these links have resurfaced against with Zinedine Zidane, the manager at the Bernabeu desperate to replace Keylor Navas on goal.

Report around the world report that Real Madrid might be able to land their man this summer and Mourinho is now looking at Leicester city star Kasper Schmeichel as a possible replacement next season.

Spanish news outfit Don Balon also claim that the Spanish giants Real Madrid are also keeping an eye on the 30-year old whose father lifted the Premier League title at Old Trafford.

At his age, the English star is an experienced player who can help even the best clubs in Europe but it is hard to see Real Madrid swoop for him in the summer.

However, Mourinho might be able to get his man if he loses De Gea to Real in the summer. Do you think Kasper Schmeichel will leave the King Power at the end of the season?
