Chelsea are all set to make an offer worth £40 million for Monaco duo Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva, according to Mirror.

Blues boss Antonio Conte has been largely impressed with the two youngsters, both aged 22, and looks set to make an offer for the two starlets in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Both Mendy and Silva starred in Monaco’s victory over Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16 stage, which eventually knocked Pep Guardiola’s side out of the tournament.

Mendy has been performing very well at left-back, and his energetic and physical style, coupled with his attacking capabilities, will prove to be of massive use to Conte, as the Italian prefers using wing-backs in his extremely successful 3-4-3 system.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva, who has already bagged eight goals and eight assists in all competitions so far this season, is being monitored by numerous top clubs from all across Europe, including City’s inter-city rivals Manchester United.

However, Monaco rate these two young talents very highly, and will not part ways with the duo unless an interested party meets their set price tag – around £12m for Mendy, and £28m for Silva.

This season’s Monaco team has been unbelievably impressive in both the domestic league as well as on the European stage. The French outfit currently sits on top of the Ligue 1 table with a lead of three points, and is set to lock horns with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Some of the outstanding members of this talented squad, including the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Thomas Lemar, are already being linked with big-money summer moves to some of the biggest clubs on the continent.
