Javier Hernandez has sneakily hinted that he wants Manchester United to re-sign him.

The talented striker, known to many as ‘Chicharito’, was sold by Louis van Gaal back in 2015, and the Mexican international ended up joining Bayer Leverkusen for £7.3 million. Since his arrival in Germany, the 28-year-old has been in terrific form for the Bundesliga club, and has scored 38 goals in just two seasons already.

Hernandez was recently mentioned by the current Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho during one of his press conferences, wherein the Portuguese claimed he never would have let the fan-favorite striker leave the Theatre of Dreams.

Mourinho told BBC Sport: “Manchester United sold players that I would never sell. And bought players that I would never buy. I would have never have sold Angel Di Maria, Chicharito and Danny Welbeck. Never. No chance.”

Chicharito was evidently delighted to hear these kind words from the Special One, as he reacted on his official twitter account by ‘retweeting’ more than one articles based on this Jose Mourinho interview.

And now, Hernandez has indirectly hinted at his desire to re-sign for Manchester United, by ‘liking’ a post on Twitter which read: ‘Dear Manchester United can we please resign the little pea we should never have sold him.’

The Little Pea was one of the most beloved players at Old Trafford during the six seasons he spent in Manchester, and not only the fans, but Mourinho himself will also be delighted if he could re-sign the lethal poacher, especially with Manchester United’s current front-line consisting of either inexperienced youngsters, or ageing veterans.
