Antonio Rudiger is reportedly wanted by a host of Premier League big boys and what interesting is the German himself wants a move to England.

Rudiger made his much awaited international return for Germany recently after a long spell out with a cruciate knee ligament injury. The Roma star was on the field for full 90 minutes in Dortmund as his country beat England 1-0 courtesy a brilliant goal from Lukas Podolski.

ESPN claim Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City sent scouts to watch Rudiger on Thursday ahead of a potential summer move for him.

The trio have been monitoring the 24-year-old defender’s progress for several years and are almost certain to launch bids when the summer window reopens. The same report from ESPN further claim Rudiger himself wants a move to Premier League this summer despite Roma’s reluctance to let him leave.

United, Chelsea and City are all keen to strengthen their defensive options at the end of this season. Chelsea reportedly tried their hand on Rudiger last summer before his knee injury and then again in the January transfer window which suggests they are perhaps the front runners for his signature.

Rudiger suffered his injury blow during a training session with Germany prior to Euro 2016. The former Stuttgart man was then ruled out of the tournament in France and returned to action with Roma in late October. Being a tough-tackler, discipline can become a serious issue as he received two straight red cards during his time at Stuttgart for violent conduct.

This season, he has already seen six yellow cards in 18 appearances for Roma, having returned from his injury after less than five months in late October. He was even sent off in the Europa League match vs. Villarreal earlier this year.
