Bastian Schweinsteiger managed to score his first goal for his new club Chicago Fire just 17 minutes into his debut.
The former Manchester United man scored the opener with a clinical header in his side’s thrilling encounter with Montreal Impact, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Speaking of his debut goal, the decorated German stated in his post-match interview: “It’s a great moment when in your first match you score a goal, though I’d rather have a win. I think we deserved the draw. We had good chances, but we didn’t finish.”
