Ivan Rakitic was caught on camera calling Andreas Pereira a “son of a b****” and even taunting him by claiming “you’re going down.”

Barcelona brushed aside Granada on Sunday with a 4-1 win in La Liga, and now, a video footage has emerged from that fixture, which shows Rakitic using abusive words towards the on-loan Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The referee blew the whistle for a foul after a clash between the duo, and Pereira reacted by pushing Rakitic in the chest. The Croatian playmaker, who was already furious, was then booked for his trouble, and proceeded to berate the referee.

But after accepting the decision, Rakitic sought out Pereira and called him “son of a b****” repeatedly until the 21-year-old eventually heard him. After having gotten his opponent’s attention, the Barcelona ace tried to taunt him further, by saying “The second division. You’re going down! Down!” — and another “son of a b****” for good measure.

A third defeat in a row leaves Granada in serious trouble, as they are now in 19th place, and eight points from safety.

However, the La Liga venture has been a positive experience on a personal level for Pereira. The Brazilian has proved himself as an integral part of the team, and has scored four goals, and Jose Mourinho is sure to have taken note.

Pereira recently told Manchester United’s website that he is still looking forward to a place in the United first team.

“It’s nice that the people at United trust me and I always feel that they are watching. For me, that’s very important,’ Pereira said. “Hopefully, I will come back next season and show the fans and everyone at United that I am ready.” He added.
