Antoine Griezmann Wants Champions League Football
Antoine Griezmann is stalling his move to Manchester United with doubts over the club’s qualification for the Champions League.
United boss Jose Mourinho has targeted Griezmann since long. He was rumoured to be moving to Old Trafford in January, though it never happened. But now, speculation is rife that the Atletico Madrid player may not join the Red Devils in the summer as well.
This is because the No.7 wants to play the highest level of football – The Champions League. United are in danger of not qualifying for Europe’s premier tournament for a 2nd season running. The club stands in 6th place in the Premier League.

This uncertainty is the reason Griezmann is questioning his rumoured transfer. His agents have reportedly contacted United’s management about the same.
Paul Pogba, last year’s record signing is reportedly trying to influence his fellow Frenchman. Meanwhile, United will want to win the Europa League, so they are assured of a Champions League spot.
One more obstacle United will face is Chelsea. The Blues are also reportedly interested in the Euro 2016 top scorer. Under manager Antonio Conte, they are seven points clear at the top of the table, and are all but guaranteed, Champions League football.
