Manchester United are ready to make a £35 million offer for Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko in the upcoming summer window.

The Paris-born midfielder has established himself as a regular starter in Leonardo Jardim’s blueprint this season and this has seen him earning some rave reviews.

Considered as one of the strongest defensive midfielders, Bakayoko has scored two goals this season and has won 55% of his average duels, with a passing accuracy of 87%.

To give brief breakout, he has won 50 of his 81 headed duels, followed by winning 45 of his 66 take-ons. Hence, it is safe to say that he will be a perfect replacement of Michael Carrick, who is close to drawing curtains to his illustrious career at Old Trafford.

Although Manchester United are not the only club in the hunt as Chelsea and other European giants are also vying for his signature. French news outlet  Le 10 Sport has claimed that the Devils are leading the chase and they are ready to activate his £35m release clause.

But here comes the catch, the 22-year-old midfielder wears a 14 number jersey and so does Jesse Lingard. Hence, The Sun has claimed that a problem might arise.

Lingard recently signed a new extension with the club, hence there is no denying the fact that he won’t leave the premises this summer. Furthermore, the same source has suggested that Bakayoko will surely demand the number 14 shirt if he is to join United.
