21-year-old Celta Vigo winger Theo Bongonda has revealed that he would not think twice if an offer from any of the Premier League giants comes knocking on his doors.

Born in Charleroi, Belgium, Bongonda began his playing career with JMG Academy before eventually moving on to Celta Vigo in 2015. And over the course of his two-year tenure, he has managed to establish himself as a first-team regular.

But despite being a regular face for the La Liga outfit, the 21-year-old has expressed his desire to move to a big Premier League club, most notably, Chelsea or Manchester United. He has also added that he has no ambition to spend the rest of his career with Celta.

Bongonda told Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws: “I could be comfortable here for another two or three years, but it’s not my ambition to spend the rest of my career [at Celta Vigo].

“As soon as I receive a call from Chelsea or Manchester [United] or Atletico [Madrid], I must dare to take that step.

“Every footballer wants to play at the highest level.”

Furthermore, Bongonda, who is contracted with the Balaidos until 2019, has scored just one goal and has provided three assists in 24 league outings. Hence, there are some doubts about his abilities to score or create goals.

Premier League would demand a tough mental and physical strength and right at this very moment, the 21-year-old might fail to deal with.
