Jose Mourinho Planning A Stellar Double Swoop

Manchester United are planning a stellar double swoop for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann as well as Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in England.

Jose Mourinho has known for quite some time that the main reason behind his team’s struggles this season has been their inability to score abundant goals. The Reds have failed to outscore their opposition time and time again, and as a result, have dropped too many points by drawing too many games.

However, the Portuguese tactician is set to fix this problem in the upcoming transfer window, by assembling a strikeforce that will terrorize some of the best defences on the continent.

With Mourinho sure that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will sign a one-year contract extension and stay for another season, he is now set to splash the cash to bring in Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.

United have been linked with the French international for quite some time, and despite the move being labeled as on and off from time to time, the Premier League giants are confident they will meet Atletico’s asking price, and even break the world transfer record yet again if need be, to sign the 26-year-old up.

Furthermore, the Special One is also prepared to attempt bringing Everton striker Romelu Lukaku to the Theatre of Dreams. The two have previously worked together at Chelsea, and Mourinho was the one who offloaded Lukaku to the Toffees, but Jose now believes the 23-year-old has matured into a lethal forward.

Manchester United are also prepared to match Everton’s high asking price for their star striker, who currently sits atop the Premier League goalscoring charts with 23 goals to his name.

POLL: Which Attacker Can Man United Successfully Sign?

Many big clubs from all across Europe have expressed their interests in Lukaku, but the Red Devils plan to turn the odds in their favour by offering club captain Wayne Rooney to Everton. The 31-year-old is believed to be keen to make a return to his boyhood club one day, and he will readily take a paycut to do so.

United definitely possesses the financial resources to pull both these deals off, but the fact remains that Jose Mourinho and his players will have to qualify for next season’s Champions League in order to convince both Griezmann and Lukaku to join the Old Trafford outfit.

It is a good idea to bring in more strikers to theater of dreams but I want u to remember that if Martial could been given a chance at the center forward which is rightful position, he would perform better than lukaku.
