Mourinho To Test Dortmund’s Resolve With £50m Dembele Bid

Jose Mourinho has identified Borussia Dortmund starlet Ousmane Dembele as his next big transfer at Manchester United, according to reports.
The Red Devils are in search of some star players to add quality to their squad, and they have therefore, been linked with some of the biggest stars in Europe recently. And one player who could be on his way to England this summer is French starlet Ousmane Dembele.
The 19-year-old was wanted by a host of Premier League clubs at the start of the season, but Dembele decided to move to the Signal Iduna Park from Rennes last summer. He has already made an impact at the Bundesliga club, scoring some important goals, and is a crucial part of the squad at Dortmund.
However, The Sun now claims that Jose Mourinho has decided to spend big to secure Dembele’s services this summer. The report goes on to suggest that Borussia Dortmund are not interested in letting him go after just one season, but that they can be persuaded with a huge bid.

It is understood that Mourinho is planning to make a bid in the region of £50m, which might be enough to lure him away.
However, the United manager has an alternative in mind as well, in the form of Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic. It is reported that Mourinho was in attendance for a recent Inter Milan match, where he had an eye on Perisic, and that he is convinced that the player would be a decent addition to his squad.
Dembele is a superb option that can come good in the future, but Perisic currently seems the more realistic target, as the Croatian being in his prime can have an immediate impact at the club.
