Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara has signed a new deal with Bayern Munich until 2021.
After announcing the permanent signing of Kingsley Coman from Juventus, the Bundesliga leaders have tied another key player down at the Allianz Arena.
Thiago told the club’s official website: “My family and I feel at home in Munich. Everything’s going well and I want to win a lot of trophies with Bayern in the future.”
The midfielder has aimed to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich, who got knocked out of the semi-final against Real Madrid earlier this month.
“100 per cent – my aim is the same as it has been since I got here, I want to win the Champions League and I’m staying here until I win this trophy,” he said.
