Manchester United have received a huge boost in their pursuit of star striker Antoine Griezmann.

The Red Devils have been missing some of their star attackers from their lineup, which might see Jose Mourinho spend big in the transfer window to add to his squad, and one name high on the wish list is Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

The 26-year-old seems settled at the Vicente Calderon, but could be looking for an exit, with his side all but knocked out of the Champions League by local rivals Real Madrid.

The record fee that United might have to pay for him is not the only thing that is delaying this deal, however. Atletico Madrid still have to agree to let their talisman leave this summer, but reports emerging from earlier today suggest otherwise.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Griezmann has agreed on terms of a deal with the Old Trafford outfit, and has set his heart on a move to England this summer.

The story actually claims that the Rojiblancos man, who is also wanted by Real Madrid as well, has rejected the offers from the Bernabeu, and has stated that he wants to join Manchester United this summer.

There were reports earlier that United had agreed on the wages of the player ahead of a move, and this report will only add more fuel to the fire.

With 25 goals to his name in all competitions, the French star is one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe at the moment, and could be a huge addition to Mourinho’s squad.
