Manchester United took to twitter to reveal their latest kit design and their fans from the years gone by will identify the inspiration coming from the 1990-1992 away jersey, a kit which inspired football kits for an era.
Celebrating the history of the great club, Adidas added bold graphic design similar to the one used almost three decades ago, with an aim of connecting the past to the future.
The jersey has been designed on a black backdrop with white hues, while the club’s badge, the Adidas logo and its three striped design are all boldly displayed in a white colour. The addition of a crew neck collar gives the kit not only a professional touch, but also adds street smartness to its display.
Another exciting part of this reveal is the inclusion of David De Gea in the official picture donning the new United full sleeve hoodie, sparking rumours that he is surely to remain part of Old Trafford come next season.
The kit certainly adds a bit of swagger to the club, and what it represents and using it on big European Champions League nights should be a justice the players must aim at giving it by the end of this campaign.
