What’s the story?

In what comes as a shocking news for one and all involved, after being linked with Manchester United since forever, the Colombian could be making a sensational move to their rivals Chelsea, according to Okdiario, as a result of Conte looking to add a midfielder to his squad and United cooling their interest due to the other clubs involved.

Should the deal take place?

James has been benched for far too long for a player of his abilities and potential, and he will be roaring to get on the field and show the world why he deserves to play every minute of every match, and this is a situation every team should consider taking proper advantage of. The Blues are looking to strengthen their side for next season in order to defend their Premier League crown and also compete in the Champions League and make a fist out of it, which suggests why this rumour makes sense and should possibly be converted into reality.

Possibility of it happening

Chelsea do seem like a side that could use Rodriguez to his full potential, but with United in the hunt and Mourinho being a former Madrid manager, the competition will be intense, and hence, the chances of this move are 6/10.

 2. Mario Mandzukic To Stay At Juventus

What’s the story?

Juventus took to their official Twitter account to announce that their forward, Mario Mandzukic, will be staying with the club, as the player signed a contract extension that dates till 2020.

Should the deal have taken place?

The central striker has been a fine find for the Old lady since signing for the club in 2015, and after forming a great partnership with Higuain up top, he has managed to bag in 17 goals for them in the Serie A so far. With his brilliant hold up play, effortless ball chasing, and physicality, a contract extension with the Italian Champions is what he truly deserved.

3. Jan Oblak To PSG

What’s the story?

According to France Football (via Express), PSG have made a £52 million bid to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, and beat Manchester United in the race at the same time, as the French side seems to be unhappy with current shot stopper Kevin Trapp. PSG are, therefore, keen to find a replacement of higher quality immediately.

Should the deal take place?

If Real Madrid do manage to snatch De Gea from Old Trafford, one would assume Mourinho to come out all guns blazing to search for a keeper, and hence, a bidding war of absolute high values might emerge between PSG and Manchester United for Atletico’s number 1. As both sides involved look to fight for domestic and European success next term, a move to either destination might make sense, but it should not be delayed for too long, as decisions in the transfer market can change within the blink of an eye.

Possibility of it happening

Oblak is one of the best goalies in the world at the moment, and with United’s keeper situation unsure for now, PSG looks the likelier club to land the La Liga keeper, and hence, a strong possibility of 8/10 exists in favour of the deal actually coming to life.

4. Jean-Michael Seri To Barcelona

What’s the story?

As per reports mentioned in Nice Matin, La Liga heavyweights Barcelona are currently leading the race to sign the African midfielder from Nice ahead of London duo Arsenal and Tottenham, as the Catalan army seems to have already have made contact, and discussions with the Ligue 1 side over a possible transfer for the £25 million-worth player are ongoing.

Should the deal take place?

The midfielder was highly influential in Nice’s Ligue 1 campaign which saw him contribute towards a total of 16 goals, which consisted of 9 assists and finding the back of the net 7 times himself. In addition to his impact, the player was rewarded with the best African trophy in the French League this season, and it went into the right hands to say the least. Barcelona are currently in a slight spot of bother, after having underachieved this season, and with Luis Enrique quitting as manager, and club legend and veteran Andres Iniesta leaving a humongous hole in the centre of the park, Seri can be an immediate sigh of temporary relief with his quality when the Spanish giants need it the most.

Possibility of it happening

“If Barça comes to sign you, you can’t say no. No way,” the player himself was quoted as saying earlier in the season, and if the Spanish side does go for him with genuine interest, a 10/10 chance exists that he will put pen to paper without any second thought whatsoever.
