Paris St-Germain Open Negotiations With Dortmund For Aubameyang
According to reports in France, Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as the number one contender to sign Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabonese International has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the world ever since moving to Dortmund from Saint-Etienne in 2013.
The 27-year-old has already won the Bundesliga Golden Boot this season after scoring 31 goals in just 32 league matches, and his match-winning penalty in Saturday’s DFB Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt saw him reach the 40-goal mark in all competitions for the first time in his career.
Considering his goal-scoring exploits, a number of top European clubs like PSG, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Real Madrid have all been linked with him for many months.
There were also reports saying that the Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian are interested in the striker, and are preparing a world record wage offer, which is reportedly worth €500,000-a-week, to lure him away from Westfalenstadion.
Recent reports in German magazine Bild claim that the former AC Milan striker has signalled his intention to leave Dortmund by handing in a transfer request, and the club is likely to demand over £40m for Aubameyang if the exit is authorised.
With rumour bill buzzing about Aubameyang’s future every day, reports in BeIn Sports state that PSG have already begun talks with Dortmund over a potential transfer, and are preparing a lucrative bid for the striker to wrap up a deal within a week.
Ever since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left PSG, the club has been on the lookout for striking options despite the fine form of Edinson Cavani. With pace, precision, and incredible finishing ability, Aubameyang could be a dream signing for PSG if they pull off this headline transfer in the coming weeks.
