Real Madrid have reportedly turned down Inter’s €42 million offer for their star and Manchester United target James Rodriguez, as the Colombian wishes to join the Red Devils this summer.

As per reports from Football Italia, Los Blancos has rejected Inter Milan’s latest bid for their star player James Rodriguez. There have also been multiple reports over the last few days of the Serie A giants making a bid for the Colombian international.

Real Madrid bought the 25-year-old from Monaco in the summer of 2014, for a gigantic sum of €75 million.

And now, the La Liga giants have reportedly rejected the proposal worth €42 million for the playmaker, believing that the player is much more valuable than that, and hence, they can bag a considerably higher amount in exchange for the midfielder’s services.

Along with this, Rodriguez, who has expressed a desire to play in the Champions league next season, is said to have given a higher preference to join Manchester United, since the Red Devils’ direct entry into the group stage of the competition next season after having won the Europa League.

Inter, meanwhile, have failed to qualify for Europe’s elite competition, after having finished seventh in Serie A.
