Thomas Tuchel Sacked By Borussia Dortmund
In a surprising turn of events, Borussia Dortmund have sacked their head coach Thomas Tuchel, just days after he won them DFB Pokal.
There were reports in the media earlier which suggested Thomas Tuchel might look for opportunities other than BVB. However, the club seems to have done the German coach a favor, by terminating his services at the Signal Iduna Park.
The decision to sack Tuchel comes as a surprise to many, as he won Dortmund a piece of silverware very recently, when his team beat Eintracht 2-1 in the DFB Pokal cup final.

Thomas Tuchel has been heavily linked with various jobs across Europe, including him potentially replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. However, that seems a distant reality now, as Wenger is set to sign a 2-year contract extension.
Borussia Dortmund finished the season with a third place finish in the Bundesliga and a DFB Cup win, which was surely been deemed good enough by the hierarchy at the club.
Meanwhile, Dortmund are believed to be in advanced talks with Nice coach Lucien Favre to replace the departing manager. The French club will be looking to earn a good compensation package if Favre decides to move away, as he has 2 years remaining on his contract.
