Romelu Lukaku would reportedly prefer a move to Stamford Bridge over Old Trafford.

The former Chelsea star is currently one of the best finishers in the game, and has been in terrific form for Merseyside outfit Everton this season. But lack of progress at the Goodison Park has seen him linked with an exit, with the player himself revealing that he wants to play for a club that is in the Champions League regularly.

He has decided not to extend his contract with Everton, and is now wanted by Manchester United and Chelsea, both of whom are desperate for attacking additions.

Having scored 25 goals in the league last season, Lukaku was the second top goal scorer next to Harry Kane, and is a player who could improve both the squads this summer.

Both teams are reportedly ready to meet his valuation at around £100m, and it is now understood that the player prefers a move to Chelsea.

According to English news outfit Telegraph, Chelsea have an edge over Manchester United in securing his services this summer.

United were reportedly ready to offer Wayne Rooney to reduce the asking price, but they might now miss out on his signature, as it is revealed that the Belgian has had advanced talks with the London outfit over a move this summer.

He is a genuine target man, and would have been a great addition to United, while Chelsea already have Diego Costa in their ranks. Therefore, it is hard to see Lukaku play regularly for the Blues, but his heart lies in London, and Jose Mourinho might not be able to reunite with him at Old Trafford.
