Morata Attempting To Persuade Bale To Join Him At United
Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata’s move to Manchester United is almost imminent as the negotiations are underway.
With the Red Devils trying to close in on the deal, the Spanish forward wishes to see another player alongside him at Old Trafford – his Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale.
According to stunning reports from Spain by media outlet Don Balon, the 24-year-old is trying to convince Gareth Bale to move with him to Old Trafford.
With the €73 million transfer for Morata due to finish next week and be announced soon after, the Welsh winger would be a fantastic addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad. United are also attempting to complete the transfer of Victor Lindelof from Benfica by next week.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic dropped by Manchester United, they would need a new player to lead the charge in the final third. Alvaro Morata is a transfer in the right direction, but with the lack of attacking prowess the club displayed last season, another addition to the squad seems quite necessary.
Gareth Bale would be an excellent choice, as his playing style is built and developed in a manner suitable to English football. Having started his career at Southampton as left-back, he moved to Tottenham Hotspur, where he was pushed up front as a winger.
The Welshman’s playing characteristic include blinding pace and dribbling, essential to counter-attacks and the physical play that the English version of the game demands.
He had a very inactive season at the Bernabeu, as he was sidelined for the majority period owing to injuries. Lacking playtime, he managed to score only 9 goals in the whole season across all competitions.
With Los Blancos looking to bring newer players into the club, Bale’s first team chances might be even bleaker. High bids for Kylian Mbappe indicate that Real Madrid mean business and desperately want the 18-year-old with them.
On the other hand, Real are also showing interest towards Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, which can be seen as a direct contention to Bale’s role at the club.
The 27-year-old has been on the Red Devils’ radar for a few years now, with both Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes attempting a move for the player.
While Manchester United are also on the lookout for other strikers, including Torino prodigy Bellotti, the player and the club’s high transfer demands are causing the English club to hesitate. Gareth Bale, though, might just come as a surprise option for the club!
