Verratti Contacts Florentino Perez For A Move To Real Madrid Over Barcelona

Paris St-Germain star Marco Verratti has been mooted a move to Spain in recent weeks, with both Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona lining up a bid for the Italian midfielder.

Both the European Heavyweights are looking to bolster their squads ahead of next season. Blaugrana are in the market looking for a long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta. Also, several key players of Ernesto Valverde’s side allegedly want the club to bring in Verratti as they prepare for next season.

With Luka Modric in talks about leaving Los Blancos, the European Champions are also reportedly eyeing the highly-rated midfielder as a replacement for the the 31-year-old Croatian star.

And as per reports from Diario Gol, Verratti has told his agent to push for a move to Santiago Bernabeu over Camp Nou.

It was also claimed that the 24-year-old has contacted Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez to sign him before their rivals get a chance.

The Italy international has been estimated to be in the region of €45 million, although the French giants would be aiming to sell their star for nothing less than €60 million.
