Talks of Barcelona signing Marco Verratti have gathered pace over the last 24 hours, as a mega money move is on the cards.

Marco Verratti, who has been on Barcelona’s radar for a long time, finally looks on his way to the Camp Nou.

The unsettled midfielder has reportedly handed a transfer request to the officials at Paris Saint-GermainL’Equipe reported that Verratti was a part of a meeting with PSG’s Director of Football, Antero Henrique, where he asked to leave the club during the ongoing transfer window.

The 24-year-old magician is a target for host of clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea, but the player is believed to have an affinity towards a move to the Spanish giants.

Ever since the news broke out, revealing Barcelona’s interest in Verratti, it has been well received by the club’s fans all around the globe who believe that the Italian has the quality needed to succeed at Camp Nou.

The newly appointed coach Ernesto Valverde is also said to be very keen on the PSG midfielder.

With all the buzz and hype around the potential move, a transfer fee is still far from agreed between the two clubs. Paris Saint-Germain, understandably so, wouldn’t let go of their golden boy too easily, as they had built the oil rich project at the French club with him at the center.

As per Spanish outlet Marca, the total cost of the transfer could easily surpass a gigantic valuation of €100m.

Barcelona are set for an aggressive rebuilding job in the summer following their misadventures last season, when they were outclassed in Spain as well as Europe. Verratti’s arrival could trigger a summer of numerous signings for the Spanish club.
