Salah’s Move To Liverpool Close To Completion
A number of sources have confirmed that Mohamed Salah’s move from Roma to Liverpool is now imminent.
Football Italia have claimed that Liverpool and Roma are close to agreeing a €45m deal for Salah, which will see the player move to the English club.
The Egyptian is expected to travel to Liverpool on Tuesday to undergo his medical. Numerous reports from the likes of Il Tempo newspaper and Sky Sports have reported that Tuesday will be the decisive day in Liverpool’s pursuit of Salah.
Talks have been ongoing for weeks between Roma and Liverpool, who couldn’t reach an agreement over the transfer fee, but Jurgen Klopp’s side has now raised their offer to €45m, which is acceptable for the Italian club.
Salah was an important player for Roma in the Serie A, where they finished second to Juventus, as the 25-year-old winger wrapped up an impressive season with 19 goals and 12 assists to his name.
The speedster will surely add even more pace and flair to Liverpool’s attack, which already features players like Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.
If Mohamed Salah moves to Liverpool, the Egypt international will be back in England for his second stint. The player previously had a mixed spell with Chelsea, where he was in and out, and even went out on different loan spells for 2 seasons to Fiorentina and Roma, respectively.
Anticipating Salah’s departure, Roma have already prepared to replace him with Rachid Ghezzal from Olympique Lyonnais, who will be a free agent soon.
