Antonio Conte is gearing up for Diego Costa’s departure as Chelsea look for his replacement for next season. And as per reports, the Blues, who have been heavily linked with Romelu Lukaku, have now set their eyes on arguably one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga – Robert Lewandowski.

The 28-year-old striker has emerged as one of the most prolific forwards since his arrival at Allianz Arena in 2014, and made 47 appearances in all competitions for the German Champions last season, scoring an impressive 43 goals in the process.

But, as per Mirror, the Poland international has become very unsettled at Bayern. It was reported earlier that Lewandowski was angry with his teammates for failing to help him win the Bundesliga top scorer accolade, and his agent had also restated the 28-year-old’s unhappiness towards the club.

The star’s agent, Maik Barthel, stated: “Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title. He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before.”

And now, it has been reported that the Premier League Champions have made a move for Bayern’s ace marksman, as they look to fill Diego Costa’s spot.

The Blues have a number of options as they bid to make changes up front in the form of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, and Andrea Belotti of Torino.

Lukaku, however, has reportedly agreed terms with the Premier League Champions, but a fee between the two clubs is yet to be agreed upon, as Chelsea do not want to pay the world-record £100 million to Everton for their talisman.

The Italian tactician is said to be after two top strikers ahead of next season, though, and Robert Lewandowski might just become Conte’s top priority signing, as the Champions of England look to make a mark in this year’s Champions League.
