Inter Milan have given an ultimatum to Manchester United to meet their demands over the next 24 hours, otherwise the club will take Perisic off the market. Having rejected a £35m offer from United, the Italian club has now asked for £44m for their prized winger.
The newly arrived coach Luciano Spalletti is determined to keep Inter’s star player at the club by offering him a new deal, and according to reports, he will get his wish if Manchester United fail to meet the demands of the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, the Serie A giants are preparing an offer worth £67,000-a-week to keep the Croatian at the San Siro. It is expected that the club will make Perisic sign a 5-year deal to fend off all the interest around him.
It’s quite understandable that Inter are unwilling to sell their star player, but Perisic has been made available because of the player’s interest in moving to Manchester United.

Inter’s new coach Luciano Spalletti faced the press last month to confirm his intent to keep ‘strong players’ at the club. The former Roma coach said: “I’ll avoid answering on [Mauro] Icardi and Perisic for now, There are strong players at Inter but they have to get into the team mechanism. It must be the team that works.”
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, is said to be very eager on Perisic, as the Portuguese coach sees qualities in the Croatian that will benefit Manchester United next season.
