Monaco midfielder Fabinho is looking for a path out of his club, as several powerhouses, including both Manchester clubs and Arsenal, are looking to lure him away.

Reports from L’Equipe, a trusted French media outlet, indicates that the Brazilian is looking to leave Monaco in search for more ambitious teams to play for.

The midfielder has been very instrumental in Monaco’s Ligue 1 victory, stealing it from the hands of Paris Saint-Germain. In the 49 games he played for them last season, he scored 10 goals and bagged 4 assists, apart from the constant build-up play he is particularly known for.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the player for some time now, but now, a new contender has emerged from England, in the form of Arsenal. Having recently signed Lacazette, the Gunners are looking for a strong and quality midfielder to strengthen their position, in case Alexis Sanchez leaves the club.

Arsene Wenger has already had talks with several players as a replacement for the Chilean, including another Monaco player in the form of Thomas Lemar, and Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City.

According to the French outlet, Fabinho believes that this would be the best time for him to leave the club in search for better prospects elsewhere. After playing for 4 years at the Stade Louis II, he has been an effective tool in rebuilding the club ever since the investments came in.

Monaco are currently facing a tough time, as their young squad is being enamored by high-profile deals from everywhere around Europe and the world.

Kylian Mbappe has almost been heralded as the best teenage striker, with bids going upwards of £100 million. Bernardo Silva has already left the club to be a part of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, and Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko might soon follow their lead.
