Real Madrid Set To Announce The Signing Of Dani Ceballos From Real Betis
Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Betis. The Spanish champions have secured the starlet for a fee in the region of €18 million.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, a deal has been agreed by the player with Real Madrid. The 20-year-old turned down a move to Barcelona in favour of Zinedine Zidane’s vision and style of the game. Real will pay a slightly higher price than the player’s release clause to close the deal.
The midfielder attracted a lot of interest this summer, after a good season in La Liga and the Europa League. The agreement with the player comes after Real confirmed the arrival of Jesus Vallejo from Real Zaragoza recently. Ceballos is expected to travel to the United States and join the club for the summer friendly tour starting next week.
The Spaniard will add more depth to Real’s midfield, which already boasts of some big names in world football. The highly-rated youngster is the 3rd player to join Real this summer, as Zidane hopes to retain the La Liga title, and win a 3rd successive Champions League crown.
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s summer transfer recruitment continues to hinder their progress, as they have failed to lure Marco Verratti, Hector Bellerin, and Ander Herrera so far.
