In what has become the most unexpected turn of events, Spanish newspaper AS has sensationally reported that Chelsea are now keenly interested in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The player was assumed to be in the eyes of Jose Mourinho all summer, but after Manchester United surprisingly snapped up Stamford Bridge target Romelu Lukaku, this move seems like perfect poetic justice for Conte and his team.

The player has been eager to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer, as he searches for game time and a club offering to make him their number one man. Chelsea, meanwhile, are without a main striker and certified goal scorer in their ranks, and thus, this deal provides a win-win situation for all involved.

Cesar has been a sensational player for the Blues, and was extremely influential in their title winning campaign last season. Not only does he have a brilliant sense of positioning while defending, his attacking abilities also come in handy in the final third of the pitch. 4. Matteo Kovacic To Tottenham Hotspur

As reported by Evening Standard, Real Madrid could well be preparing to bring in French striker and teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe this summer, and to further fasten that process, they aim to sell some of the surplus talent at the Santiago Bernabeu. Among many like James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata, Matteo Kovacic is one of the talents on the list of those facing the exit door. In order to raise funds as quick as possible, the midfielder is being offered to Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Premier League.

The Spanish giants are in desperate need of extra millions to launch a mega bid for Mbappe, who is priced at £132 million by Monaco, and Kovacic is the perfect source to get them. The 23-year-old midfielder made just 19 starts under Zidane last season, and is unlikely to get more game time at the club, thus making it the ideal time for him to make a move. Tottenham are a team that play beautiful football with youngsters in their ranks, and Kovacic could prove to be a valuable addition.
