ISL Club Atletico De Kolkata Announce Former Man United Player As Head Coach
Atletico de Kolkata, the Kolkata-based outfit from the Indian Super League, have made a major breakthrough, by signing former Manchester United forward, Edward Paul “Teddy” Sheringham, as their new head coach.
The former England International is known for his excellent stint at Manchester United, and remains in the hearts of many fans even today, as he scored the equalizer and provided the assist for the winning goal for Manchester United’s 1999 Champions League comeback against Bayern Munich, helping them win their treble.
He would be replacing Antonio Lopez Habas, the new Pune FC head coach, who helped the Kolkata outfit win the tournament two times in the three editions.

With Teddy Sheringham comes a huge bunch of experience of playing at the topmost level of football, the tactics used, and techniques implemented. Apart from his time in Manchester, he is considered a legend at Millwall, for whom he is the second highest scorer of all time. He had a minor stint at Nottingham Forest, after which he began his love story with London.
He went on to play for 7 years with Tottenham Hotspur, divided into two stints separated by a very reputed Manchester United jersey for 5 years. His last major club was West Ham United, where he scored 28 goals for the Hammers. His entire illustrious playing career spans over a humongous 24 years.
