Inter Milan key man Ivan Perisic does not want to travel with the club for their pre-season tour, as he wants to complete a move to Manchester United soon.

According to reports, the winger wants to play under Jose Mourinho, and hopes the deal will be done soon.

The Croatian international has left the training camp to deal with a toothache at his hometown, as Mourinho’s men step up their interest in the versatile player.

The Europa League Champions put in a £44 million offer last week after Inter rejected two previous bids for the player. They value him at a minimum of £48 million and are refusing to bend down.

The Perisic deal is turning into a long saga, and it looks like United will only land the former Wolfsburg man on the desired valuation set by Inter.

Perisic can play on both wings and also centrally, as Jose Mourinho aims to sharpen his attack, after he claimed last season that his wide players lacked the cutting edge. With Perisic’s quality, Jose will hope to cash in and gain that edge.

Meanwhile, new Inter boss Luciano Spalletti is keen to keep one of the best players in Italy, but will have to let him go, as the player is said to be excited with a move to Old Trafford.
