Nemanja Matic Finally Set To Complete Man Utd Move – Sky Sports
Jose Mourinho looks all set to secure the services of Nemanja Matic, despite the great resistance offered by Antonio Conte.
Manchester United and Chelsea have been engaged in a tussle all summer – at first for Romelu Lukaku, and then for Matic. The Reds sensationally snatched Blues’ target Lukaku to upset Conte, due to which the Italian boss is believed to be apprehensive of doing business with Jose Mourinho.
However, the recent report from Sky Sports suggests that Matic is very close to signing for Manchester United in the coming days. It is being reported that the Red Devils are about to land the Chelsea midfielder in a deal that would cost around £40 million.
The Serbian, who is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour to the far east. He is wanted by Juventus and Man United, but the midfielder prefers a reunion with his former Chelsea coach.

To make way for Matic, United appear set to part ways with Marouane Fellaini, with the Belgium international having already agreed personal terms with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are looking for a midfielder themselves to replace the Serbian international. There are reports that Conte has enquired about Bayern’s want-away starlet Renato Sanches, who has interestingly been linked with the Old Trafford outfit for a long time.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is keen to finalize his targeted signings before the season starts on 13th August. The Portuguese coach had made it clear that he wants four new players in this transfer window, meaning half the transfer business remains undone at the Theatre of Dreams.
Players like Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Serge Aurier and Fabinho continue to be linked with a potential summer switch to the reigning Europa League Champions.
