Betting portal suggests that Jose Mourinho is most likely to sign his fellow countryman Andre Gomes from Barcelona this summer.

Despite having signed Lindelof, Lukaku, and Matic already this summer, Manchester United are far from done in the transfer market, as Barcelona’s Andre Gomes has now gotten linked with a potential switch to the English club.

Jose Mourinho had set a target of signing four new players in the summer transfer window, and many believe that Gomes will be the fourth player to sign for the Red Devils.

According to bookmakers Betstars, the Portuguese midfielder is very likely to join Manchester United this summer. The betting site has Gomes’ move to United at 3/1, 4/1 to Chelsea, and 14/1 to his old employers Valencia.

Andre Gomes had a disappointing campaign with Barcelona last season. He was supposed to fill the boots of ageing Iniesta, but the youngster failed to do so. Most of the staff and players at Camp Nou have been left underwhelmed with the impact Gomes managed at Barcelona following his big money move from Valencia.

The Portugal international is being deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona under new coach Ernesto Valverde, and as a result, the player has been made available in the transfer market for any reasonable bids from interested clubs.
