Top Transfer Rumours Of The Day: Sanchez, Wenger, Chadli, And More

1. Ousmane Dembele To Arsenal

What’s the story?

Ousmane Dembele is probably one of the biggest transfer targets left in the market at the moment, and is understandably on the receiving end of constant bids and approaches from the big boys around Europe. However, getting him will not be a walk in the park, and according to reports coming in from Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal were the latest club to experience how that felt. The North London side put in a bid for the young attacker – an effort that was rejected by Borussia Dortmund.

Should the deal take place?

Arsene Wenger is desperate to secure a few more major summer signings before the end of the window, and after the acquisition of Lacazette earlier, Dembele would be the perfect step forward. The Real Madrid and Barcelona target has been with the Bundesliga side for one season only, but he put in plenty of stellar performances to prove why all the interest in him is justified without exaggeration. The France international was a part of a heated training ground bust up with a Dortmund teammate, and is now reportedly focused on leaving the club as soon as possible.

Possibility of it happening

With other teams involved in the race to sign the lad, and the fees expected to reach ridiculously high numbers, the chances of the player coming to the Emirates are currently 1/10.

2. Nacer Chadli To Swansea City

What’s the story?

Swansea City are yet to make an impact in this summer’s window so far. According to a set of news mentioned by BBC Sport, the side are now targeting Nacer Chadli, and aim to bring the winger in as early as they can.

Should the deal take place?

The West Brom player was involved in an argument with manager Tony Pulis last season, and despite the denial from the boss, rumours of the winger leaving have since been a constant presence in the news. The Swans currently fear losing Gylfi Sigurdsson, as Everton seem persistent with their chase of the Icelander. Chadli can use this situation to head to a side searching for someone to step in and be a star.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of the Belgian international heading to the Liberty Stadium are currently 5/10.

3. Paulo Gazzaniga To Tottenham Hotspur

What’s the story?

As Tottenham struggle to bring in their first signing of this summer, reports from ESPN suggest that Southampton keeper, Paulo Gazzaniga, could be the name spreading some joy among the North London club’s supporters. As Pochettino prepares for life in a new stadium, the need of some new names to help push his side towards glory seems highly important.

Should the deal take place?

Spurs finished second during last year’s Premier League campaign and dominated Arsenal as the better side among the two. There is no doubt that Tottenham’s current lineup is capable of being the best, but the addition of quality players will do no harm in increasing their title winning chances. Although Gazzaniga is not the biggest name out there, signing him is still a start in a positive direction to say the least.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of the Saints keeper coming to Pochettino’s side are currently 8/10.

4. Alexis Sanchez To Stay At Arsenal

What’s the story?

With Neymar and his transfer matter now settled, Alexis Sanchez becomes probably the biggest transfer debate of the town. The Chilean is rumoured to leave the club, with Manchester City being the likeliest destination. However, Arsene Wenger believes that he will be staying with the Gunners no matter what.

Should the deal take place?

Sanchez was Arsenal’s saving grace in an otherwise disappointing season last time around, and now, with the absence of Champions League, a player of his skill set and capabilities might consider making a move away. Pep Guardiola has been splashing cash all over this summer, and would dig deep into his pockets to pay the right fee to bring Sanchez into his ranks.

Possibility of it happening

When asked about the situation, Wenger said: “My decision is clear – he will stay and he will respect that.” After that statement, one can predict that the chances of Sanchez staying with Arsenal are currently 8/10.
