Dortmund Reject Barcelona’s First Bid For Dembele
Neymar’s record-breaking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain has forced Barcelona to enter the transfer market.
The Blaugrana face the difficult task of replacing the Brazilian superstar, however, they do have options to consider, with players like Coutinho and Dembele having emerged as potential summer signings for the Spanish Giants.
In fact, Barcelona, who have been mostly inactive during the transfer window, have now moved for the first time by bidding for Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Catalan giants have made a significant offer of €70 million to secure the services of the youngster. However, BVB have rejected the bid, as they feel that their starlet is worth more than that.
It is believed that Barcelona will return for the player with another improved bid to see if Dortmund budge. If a move for the French prospect doesn’t materialize even then, the Spanish club will look to sign other options, like Liverpool talisman Philippe Coutinho.
Dortmund, on the other hand, will only allow one of Dembele and Aubameyang to leave this summer. The club intends to take that decision by analyzing the most profitable and viable situation for them.
Aubameyang has been linked with a number of clubs like Chelsea, AC Milan, and Manchester City throughout the summer. The Gabonese striker has already announced his intentions of leaving Signal Iduna Park in the public domain.
