Jose Mourinho Publicly Declares His Interest In Signing Gareth Bale
When Manchester United will take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday, all eyes are likely to be on one man in particular: Gareth Bale.
Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will be closely watching the Welsh international in the Super Cup clash. And if the winger doesn’t feature on the pitch, the Portuguese will try and sign him at all costs, as he believes that if Bale is given the nod to start the game, it would be a clear indication that Los Blancos see him in their long-term plans.
Mourinho was quoted as saying: “If he (Bale) is playing tomorrow, it’s because he’s in the club’s plans. He has that ambition to continue in Madrid.”
However, the Special One also conferred that if the Welshman is not given an opportunity to make an appearance in the game, then it would be enough to suggest that they can make do without his services in the upcoming season.
Mourinho also made it clear that if that turns out to be the case, then the Red Devils will do everything in their capacity to bring him to the red part of Manchester.
“I haven’t even thought about the possibility. If he’s not in the club plans – that what you are writing is true – with the arrival of another player, then we’ll try to wait for him on the other side and fight with other coaches,” Jose added.
One things that remains clear here, is the fact that all the eyeballs would be on two men in particular during this clash of titans – Gareth Bale on the field, and Jose Mourinho on the sidelines. And, if the Welshman indeed doesn’t feature in the game, it would surely mean that he is on his way out of the Bernabeu.
