Blaise Matuidi To Sign For Juventus ‘Within 48 Hours’
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi is all set to join Italian champions Juventus, and will complete the move in the next 48 hours, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Carlo Laudisa.
Juventus have stepped up their interest in the PSG midfielder, and are keen on bringing him over to Turin for a fee around €20 million. The Frenchman is reportedly ready for a move away from Paris in search of new challenges, and the Old Lady has come knocking offering just that.
Matuidi is often named among the best French midfielders in the world, and if the Italian giants manage to pull this deal off for a relatively low price of €20 million, it would certainly be good business for them.
Laudisa was among the first to break the news to the public, as he tweeted this on Monday:
La #Juve ha in mano #Matuidi. Entro 48 ore il francese arriva dal #PSG (un anno dopo) per 20 mln

Meanwhile, as the competition for the midfield spot among the likes of Grzegorz Krychowiak, Marco Verratti, and Adrien Rabiot gets tighter, switching to Italy would probably look like an interesting option for the player.
Matuidi is expected to sign for Juventus ‘within 48 hours’ and will be soon facing a new midfield competition against Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira, and Claudio Marchisio, as boss Massimiliano Allegri aims to claim domestic honours this season.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed an amazing career at PSG, making 295 appearances in all competitions since joining the club in 2011, scoring 33 goals, and in the process, winning the Ligue 1, the Coupe de la Ligue, as well as lifting three Coupe de France titles.
The Serie A giants have already secured the signatures of some top-class talents like Douglas Costa, Wojciech Szczęsny, Mattia De Sciglio and Federico Bernardeschi earlier this summer, and the French international could be their latest.
